Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of sboxindex.com (the “Service”), operated by the owner of sboxindex.com (“sboxindex”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Service Overview

sboxindex provides price estimates, market statistics, store information and community features for items in the game s&box. Account features are optional and available through Steam sign-in.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may not use the Service or create an account.

3. Accounts and Steam Sign-In

You may sign in using your Steam account. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account and for keeping your Steam account secure. We will never ask for your Steam password, Steam Guard codes or trade confirmations, and you should never share them with anyone claiming to represent sboxindex.

4. Community Rules

When using the community chat or any other interactive feature, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten or abuse other users, or post hateful or discriminatory content;
  • Post scams, phishing links, malware, or offers to trade outside of Steam;
  • Impersonate staff, other users, Facepunch Studios or Valve;
  • Spam, advertise, or attempt to manipulate item prices; or
  • Post content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

Staff may remove content, mute or ban accounts, or restrict access to the Service at their discretion, with or without notice, to enforce these Terms or protect the community.

6. No Financial Advice

All information on the Service is provided for general informational purposes only. Prices, market caps, liquidity scores and other figures are estimates. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment or trading advice. Virtual item prices are volatile, and you are solely responsible for your own trading decisions.

7. Data Accuracy and Availability

Market data is collected from public sources and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any information, or that the Service will be available without interruption.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl or copy the Service or its content in bulk;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its accounts or its administrative areas;
  • Interfere with, overload or bypass the security or rate limits of the Service; or
  • Reverse engineer the Service, including its pricing and valuation methods, or reproduce its design, features or data for a competing service.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service’s software, design, text and original content are owned by the owner of sboxindex.com and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without written permission. s&box, Steam and all item names and images are the property of their respective owners.

10. Third-Party Services and Affiliation

sboxindex is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Facepunch Studios, Valve Corporation or Steam. Links to third-party websites, such as the s&box store or the Steam Community Market, are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, sboxindex and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or virtual items, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any decision made based on information provided by the Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless sboxindex and its operators from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

14. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account.
